Sometimes Travel Takes You Home.
For many people of the African Diaspora, Ghana is more than a destination.
It can be a place of connection — to ancestry, history, culture and stories that have travelled across generations and oceans.
This 10-day journey brings those connections into focus through a deeply immersive exploration of Ghana. From Accra and the Pan-African legacy of W.E.B. Du Bois and Kwame Nkrumah, to the historic communities of Northern Ghana, the Ashanti Kingdom, Assin Manso, Cape Coast and Elmina, the journey explores both the beauty of Ghana and the difficult chapters of its history.
Along the way, you will meet communities, encounter traditional culture, explore ancestral and historical sites, experience Ghanaian craftsmanship and participate in a traditional naming ceremony.
There is also an opportunity to explore your ancestry through DNA testing, adding a contemporary dimension to a journey that is ultimately about something much deeper:
Understanding where you come from, connecting with where you are, and discovering what home can mean.
